Playa del Secreto Location
Although
Playa del Secreto is still a "secret" private beach, it
is in the heart of all the surrounding points of interest, activities
and necessities.
Close to Cancun
The Cancun International Airport is just 20 minutes away. All
your grocery and shopping needs can be met at the Sam's Club, Walmart
and Costco in Cancun, 30 minutes from Playa del Secreto.
The famous Cancun hotel zone is 35 minutes from Playa del Secreto.
Shop in Cancun's upscale stores, walk the crowded Cancun beaches,
or dance the night away in Cancun's clubs and head home about the
time the sun is rising.
Airport Transfers
For an additional fee, we can arrange transfers from the Cancun
Airport to your rental villa in Playa del Secreto and Playa Paraiso.
Transfers can be arranged when your reservations are confirmed or

Driving Directions
Only a 20 minute drive from the Cancun International
Airport brings you to Playa Del Secreto, a private crystal white
beach where all the tropical ambiance awaits. Playa del Carmen is
just 15 minutes away and Puerto Morelos only 5 minutes away for
shopping, dining, dancing and much more.
The highway from Cancun to Tulum has recently been
completely repaved, making the drive quick and comfortable. If you
are renting
a car and driving yourself, take Highway 307 to the south. After
passing through Puerto Morelos while on Hwy 307, watch for the highway
kilometer marker 312 and Casa del Secreto sign. Turn left onto the
Playa del Secreto road and and follow the road to the beach.
Puerto
Morelos
5 minutes to the north of Playa del Secreto is the small, quaint
fishing village of Puerto Morelos. This village has acquired
a few really good restaurants (Seafood, Mexican, Italian, health
food), snorkeling, fishing, diving shops, shopping, basic groceries,
and jungle tours. Puerto Morelos is becoming known for holistic
healing practices, like Reiki Message, and therapy clinics have
opened in town.
Playa del Carmen and the Riviera Maya
Playa del Carmen, Mexico's fast growing and recently discovered
tourist destination, is 15 minutes to the south. Playa del
Carmen has been known for years as the place to go for European
tourists. However, due to the Mexican Tourism Department
pouring millions in to the infrastructure and to promote Playa del
Carmen and the entire Riviera Maya coast as the #1 vacation spot
in Mexico, the word it out!
Playa del Carmen has it all, but still maintains that wonderful
Mexican flavor that the Americanized Cancun hotel zone has lost.
The 5th Avenue pedestrian walkway can be described best as a "Mayan-Mexican
Mini Bourbon Street." 5th Avenue has wonderful international
restaurants, bars with live music, shops of all kinds, artisans
displaying their wares and craft, street musicians, and much more.
Just sitting and people watching at one of the local sidewalk cafes
is an experience in itself.
In
Playa del Carmen you will find people from all walks of life, and
from all parts of the world, mingled among the locals. Walking
side by side down 5th Avenue, you may see a couple that have not
realized it is not 1966 anymore, and another couple who look like
they are dressed for dinner at a 5 star restaurant!
Other
attractions near Playa del Secreto include the Tulum Mayan Ruins,
Coba Mayan Ruins, Cozumel Island, Isla Mujeres Island, Xcaret Eco
Park, Xel Ha Snorkeling Park, Dos Ojos Cenotes, Tres Rios Eco Park,
and Rancho Grande Horseback Riding.
